Senior AWS Cloud Engineer – Database Modernization

We are seeking highly technical engineers who can not only deliver solutions but also drive initiatives, lead agile practices, and collaborate effectively in a senior-level, high-performance team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead or contribute to the migration of databases from SQL to DynamoDB
• Refactor and rewrite backend services from Java to Python
• Leverage AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) for large-scale data movement and transformation
• Integrate AI/ML-driven development capabilities using Amazon Q
• Utilize GitLab for version control, CI/CD pipeline management, and team collaboration
• Participate in and/or lead daily SCRUM ceremonies as part of a standalone senior dev team
• Communicate openly with peers, leadership, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency
• Proactively identify blockers, propose solutions, and contribute to a strong team-first culture

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of professional experience in AWS cloud engineering
• Strong expertise with AWS Lambda using Python for serverless development
