Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Legal Assistant to support attorneys in our Real Estate and Banking/Financial Services practice groups. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, a solid understanding of legal processes in these practice areas, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys in Real Estate and Banking/Financial Services matters.
- Prepare, proofread, and format correspondence, legal documents, contracts, and transaction closing documents.
- Manage case files, maintain accurate records, and ensure all documents are properly stored and easily retrievable.
- Coordinate real estate closings, including assembling closing binders, tracking critical dates, and managing related communications.
- Assist in the preparation of loan documentation, mortgage agreements, and other banking-related legal documents.
- Conduct routine legal research and gather relevant information for cases and transactions.
- Communicate with clients, lenders, title companies, and other stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
- Schedule meetings, maintain attorney calendars, and track deadlines to ensure compliance.
- Process billing, prepare expense reports, and assist with client invoicing.
