Server Engineer

Responsibilities

• Server Administration: Install, configure, upgrade, maintain, and support Microsoft Windows Server and Enterprise Linux operating systems.
• Directory Services & Network Management: Manage Active Directory and Entra AD, including Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP configurations.
• Virtualization: Design, deploy, and administer VMware ESXi servers, vCenter, vMotion, High Availability (HA), and Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS).
• Project Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
• Patch Management: Plan, schedule, and perform regular software patching for servers, applications, and infrastructure components.
• Messaging & Security: Administer Microsoft 365 Exchange Online and hybrid environments, including spam/phishing protection and DMARC configuration.
• Disaster Recovery: Implement and manage reliable backup and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring routine testing and compliance.
• Automation & Scripting: Utilize tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, and Git to implement infrastructure automation.
• Storage Management: Develop, configure, and maintain SAN storage arrays, with hands-on knowledge of CIFS/SMB, NFS, and iSCSI protocols.
