We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud IAM Engineer to lead the implementation, integration, and operationalization of AWS-based Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions across multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs). This role is central to aligning Cloud IAM engineering efforts with product delivery teams, ensuring secure and compliant access controls, and supporting migration to standardized cloud platforms.

As a subject matter expert (SME) in Cloud IAM, you will operate in a hub-and-spoke model, collaborating with engineering teams, operations (BAU), and security stakeholders. Your focus will be on driving secure IAM practices, optimizing access provisioning processes, managing IAM-related backlogs, and ensuring continuous compliance with organizational policies.

Responsibilities:

• Lead IAM solution delivery, integration, and operations across multiple ARTs in alignment with architectural and security standards.
• Serve as the primary Cloud IAM SME for assigned ARTs, participating in PI planning and Agile ceremonies to align IAM activities with ART deliverables.
• Act as a liaison between Cloud IAM Engineering, BAU operations, and ART teams to coordinate priorities, resolve blockers, and assess architectural feasibility.
• Evaluate and route IAM tasks based on feasibility studies; collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Assurance teams to define and enforce IAM-related controls.
• Facilitate role creation/modification requests, incident resolution, access issue troubleshooting, and compliance checks for IAM permissions and access scopes.
• Maintain and manage ART-level IAM work intake, backlog, ticket creation, and approval workflows.
• Support the implementation of access templates, service tickets, and operational handovers to streamline BAU processes.
• Ensure that all IAM implementations conform to security best practices, Synchrony’s governance expectations, and AWS cloud platform standards.
• Track and report progress, sprint updates, and deliverables to RTEs and Product Owners.
• Provide break-fix support and maintain documentation of IAM architectures, policies, and controls.
